Civ4 BtS crash/BSoD

Hi,

I've lots of problems with BtS, whereas Warlords works perfectly.
After 2-5 minutes of play, my computer always crashes (freeze or Blue Screen of Death).
I have absolutely no problem with any other games (Heroes 5, Supreme Commander ...)

My computer is: Asus P5B Deluxe/C2D E6600/ATI X1950XTX/2 GB Corsair DDR2 PC6400.

I have not had a serious issue, but it does seem at least once or twice per session, my computer completely freezes, and a horribly jarring sound comes from the computer. I have to do a hard reboot to get out of it. It is not repeatable from the last save point (I have autosave set to save every turn.) It is not seriously impeding my game playing, but it does seem to happen at least once per playing session.

My specs: AMD Athlon 64 3000+ 1.8GHz/2.5GB RAM/GeForce 6200 128MB video card.

I have the same problem. After I get to about Medieval it starts covering most of the screen in black then after a few seconds it clears. This happens once evry turn. Then after a few turns it crashes and I have to hit the reset button to fix. I had this problem with Vanilla and Warlords, but one of the patches fixed it.

Any more details? Is it a certain save? is it reproduceable from loading that save?

I likewise have had about 3 BSOD's now while playing BTS. Specs are in Sig, running Vista Business 32-bit. Civ IV and Warlords both worked perfectly without ever crashing (expecially after applying the 2GB switch with CFF Explorer). I thought maybe that was an issue again but I see they set this game with the 2GB switch on already. Its not constant for me, but if I play for about 1 or 2 hours it seems to happen after the AI's turn.

Same over here... after a 5 to 10 turns, mouse and keyboard freezes... nothing works and gives you an unpleasant sound which puts your temper to the test. Eventually you need a reset. From what I understand by reading the forums is that maybe this company just released this version as a beta. And since they lack of communication, I suppose they forgot to say that in the first place.

How come no one answers in Firaxis??? ...Confiraxis...
