So, here's my idea:

an intrepid group of programmers, designers, artists, idea men (me!) and others will design civilization game that basically expands the colonization concepts of smaller city crosses, in-city buildings and citizen allocation and applies them to the entirety of human history.

Doesn't sound hard right??

any interest in working on this from anybody??

Ruff, you here??

A few things:

1) Civilization: Colonization is coming out soon, and I think this would be a lot easier to mod on that than it would be for Civ.
2) Yes, it actually does sound pretty hard.
3) You can't just be the "idea man" and tell everyone what to do. No offense, but no one would want to work with you if all you do is think of ideas; the programmers can do that too, you know.

thanks for the feedback, but
1) i was referring to modding Col, but i guess i didn't make that clear enough with the title Civ4: Col: Civ
2) the difficulty comment was sarcasm
3) didn't say i just want to be the "idea man" so you're "calling me out" (as it were) for something that wasn't said

but thanks anyway for the "feedback" ~ :goodjob:

1) Hah, I knew that. xD
2) Yeah I figured, but it's hard to catch sarcasm over the internet. ;)
3) Well my point was you have to do something to get people to work with you. Sorry if I was harsh.

From my experience, you usually need something to show before being able to recruit others to help. Too many projects started and died, many hours of modding lost, too many modders stung with wasted effort. :)
