The only question that I had about the rules right away:

What will be done about a player who abuses his/her power on the server by over stepping his/her responsabilities.

Example: The Religious advisor logs in and moves all of the military units before the Military advisor gets a chance to.

What is the team's recourse here? Would the game get 'rolled back' by a turn to undo the damage, or will the team just have to deal with it, and kick him out of office afterward?

Well, it's PTBS isn't it? So unless i'm around to save the game, things will get confusing.... 20 other log in's could've taken place since the last time I was around to save...

I think the possibility of ruining your reputation will ensure players only do what they are allowed to. So yes, if someone does someting like move all military units, then that player is as good as fired.. and the Civ will simply have to 'deal with it'.

I figured out the problem with evo. I tried using internet explorer instead of mozilla and that seemed to fix it.

There was some other problem also that the site owner just reported as fixed...

Leader Vote Update!

At 10 Votes, I commented over at evo-games that 40% of the votes (2 each) had chosen only 2 leaders.... so we're looking favourites.

Now at 15 Votes, now over HALF (53%) the votes are towards those 2 leaders... and they are neck and neck.

And a third power has risen to claim a second vote.

We're still just under halfway in terms of the votes... if you haven't voted yet please do so immediately.

Well, I've left it a week. I'm still missing about 10 votes, but we cannot afford to allocate 1 week for each voting round. So, the first round has finished... and here's the results..

So what does this mean?


It means, the first 2 Civilisations will be Gandhi of the Indians... and Tokugawa of the Japanese. Each of the 4 members who voted for these 2 Leaders are now members of that Civ. They may begin getting to know each other, discussing strategy and stamping their authority on what position they want in the Governing Body. At evo-games, there are 4 Civ forums, Civ 1 will become Gandhi (Indians) & Civ 2 will become Tokugawa (Japanese) very shortly. I will inform each member as soon as the admin has allocated access.


What now?


Round 2 of the vote. All remaining members must vote again. You may vote for the same Leader as you did in Round 1. However, you now can only choose from the following...

Right! All members of Catherine (Russians), I need 1 volunteer for Group Admin. A moderator at Evo will create a usergroup.. and a special forum sec-section which only members of the usergroup can access... and it will be your responsibility to add all the members to this usergroup.. and maintain the numbers from time to time.

What happens now?

We have 3 Civs with 4 members each, and as you know, the 4th, Catherine (Russians) has 8. Catherine is exempt from this round of voting...

The other 3 Civs, Tokugawa, Gandhi & Bismarck members can now vote for all remaining members not currently assigned to a Civ. I was going to have it so the players with the top 4 votes would be assigned.. but no.. we need to hurry this along..

So, instead... vote for who you want in your Civ. For each unassigned player, if they have 2 votes from CivA, and 1 vote from CivB.. then the player will join CivA... you get the idea!

This time, 48 hours for each round. So get in quick or you'll be punished for absence. Vote for who you want by PM'ing myself.
