Please tell me has anyone managed to make a playable hotseat scenario? If so, then how was it made? I just would like to create a hotseat game where there would be real cities in correct locations. All help would appreciated.

Thank you for your quick reply. However I have been reading this thread as well. I did download this "Europe AD.7z" -file. Then I put its content in my ...\Sid Meier's Civilization 5\MODS -folder. I started the game and when I try to activate this mod my Civ5 says: Mod is missing required dependencies! So how should I install this mod and how can I activate it?

The mod from that thread requires an old version of the Anno Domini mod to run properly, so you can't use it directly. But you can modify it (change the civs listed in the code, and replace the WorldBuilder map with yours), to create your own hotseat scenario. You can remove the dependency on Anno Domini using ModBuddy, or by text editing the .modinfo file in the "build" version. Also it's from the G&K era, so it's possible that there will be some problems when running it with BNW.

I don't know if there are newer mods that allow playing a scenario in hotseat, if anyone knows such a mod please let us know. Generally this area is an example of the "dark side" of Civ5 modding, where Firaxis needlessly complicated a thing that should be simple.

:goodjob: THANK YOU very much PawelS! It seems to be working now and I can start to create my own hotseat scenario.
