I just bought both expansions and I am eager to play as a korean or a viking but I know that if I download it will change the whole game so I was wondering if it was possible to remove it incase I want the old game back without the Feudalism government/ extra nations etc. Then maby later I may reinstall it.

If so then how do I do this?

So you have the game without the expansions already installed, and have bought the expansions? Just make a second install of the original in a different folder, update that one with the expansions, and that gives you the option of playing the original or the expansions.

If you got Civilization Complete, then that should install to a different folder than your old install (if not, choose a different folder). I had Civilization Gold (PTW expansion, no Conquests) before I got Civilization Complete. The old install of Civilization Gold is in a folder called "Sid Meier's Civilization III Gold", the new install is in a folder called "Civilization III Complete", so I can go back and play the Gold install if I wanted.

Though now that I look at my files, the old install of Gold is redundant, because Civilization Complete comes with a subfolder containing the PTW Gold version anyway.

But I can uninstall civ and renistall to remove the expansions if I want right?

Yes. Make sure your saves get deleted/uninstalled also. This if you still have the original disks. If you do, you'll get to reinstall the version with the good editor. ;)

I think you worry too much here. If you have separate add on packages (the original releases), the upgrade should leave your old game installation (especially the civ3.exe) untouched. So you can go back to Vanilla anytime you like - even with PtW and Conquests installed. Even most of the Complete packages come with all three .exe files for all three game variants intact.
The only thing where I don't know what might happen: if you try to install a Civ III Gold or Complete standalone version that does not have the civ3.exe included over an existing installation of Vanilla.
