Civilization 4 complete: How to install the patch?

I cant actually find the setup.exe file for the patch

The patch is compressed. Did you unzip it?
i downloaded it in-game. I clicked on multiplayer and it said I needed to download the patch. As far as I know, I dont have any new compressed ZIP files.
The ingame patch downloading never did work very well (or at all?) with civ4. Try the patch which where made for the original release of BTS. You can find them linked here http://forums.civfanatics.com/showthread.php?t=408537

Yup, I have Complete Edition (w/o Civ4 Col) and I have reinstalled the game and downloaded the patch quite many times. I usually ran the ingame updater thing and that's it. However, one time the patch didn't want to install ingame update style so I checked for patch 3.19 from google and did run the exe. file and worked for me.

I picked up complete this year and installed it in April. I downloaded the 3.19 patch from the forum downloads page, from one of the mirrors. The Firaxis link no longer works. I suspect that the page is no longer there. In that case the in game patcher won't work anymore either. That is probably your problem.
