Civilization 4 Editor: Beyond the sword

@Textpatriate - Make sure the Playercolorinfos.xml is in the folder (You Mod Name)\assets\xml\interface\
and it should work

@CivalGanjaman - That would be great, I'll send you my source code as well if you so wish.

When it ask to copy all of my CIV 4 BTS .xml files, I it okay. THen it shows the error that it could get it from my D drive. I don't even have a D drive on my computer.

Here's the detail box:

See the end of this message for details on invoking
just-in-time (JIT) debugging instead of this dialog box.

************** JIT Debugging **************
To enable just-in-time (JIT) debugging, the .config file for this
application or computer (machine.config) must have the
jitDebugging value set in the system.windows.forms section.
The application must also be compiled with debugging
enabled.

For example:

<configuration>
<system.windows.forms jitDebugging="true" />
</configuration>

When JIT debugging is enabled, any unhandled exception
will be sent to the JIT debugger registered on the computer
rather than be handled by this dialog box.

How can I get it to the right spot?

I was getting a similar error. It looks like the program was looking for a mod called Star Wars. I copied another civ mod and renamed it star wars and everything worked like a champ after that.

This editor is really cool!

Is this mod dead?

I'm having trouble with the drive D: path error. I can get past all of the create mod dialog boxes but when I get to the create civilization button it tries to access a drive D path and the program fails. I've been trying to find an editor like this ever since Civ 4 came out.

I cannot figure out a way to get around it other than to install it onto my older hard drive which I do not want to do. I have already altered the path and tried uninstalling it, reinstalling it, even re-downloading it, nothing. Can anyone help me?

Sorry, might be a bug. I will upload a new version in the next few days, I'll PM you. Hopefully I'll fix it. But for now, have you changed the text file in the install folder. I am working to get rid of that and make it more intuative.

Yep, modifying that enables me to get past the create mod screens, but when I click on add a new civ. The program tries to look in the D drive for the installation directory. Mine is on the C drive.

Um, I hate to be a bother but have you been able to figure out why it keeps on trying to find my civ4 files on the D drive? Can you add an option to allow us to browse the folder where our civ4 installation is located? The notepad file doesn't work for the add a new civ menu.

Goto the editors install directory change the path in CivFolder.txt, Simples.

I get the following error after I fix the pointer file. If you send me the source, I'll debug the error.
