until I came across this a few weeks ago, I never knew there was a board game of Civilization, has anyone played it, is it easy. I am selling this one, but thought i would still a little feed back about it.

Thanx for that, i just wondered considering this game was first sold in 1980 if sid got any ideas from it. funny how the naming of the game and stratagy is similar in some ways.

Yes, Sid got ideas from the classic Avalon Hill game.

Avalon Hill is now defunct (they got into a law suit over who owned the name Civilization with Microprose, spent a lot of money and they both got bought out by Hasbro).

Hasbro still uses the name Avalon Hill for some of their product lines, but they let go pretty much everyone who worked at Avalon Hill when they bought them (I work with a few of their designers).
