In the civIII forum we have been discussing the leaders of the civilizations. It has been said that the leaders in civII were better than in civIII and also that there are a male and a female leader for each civilization. Could someone post the list of civilizations and leaders or direct me to a place where i can find a list? Thanks.

Here's the leaders names from the rules.txt file, first male then female, then another list that correlates to the nation they represent.

Why was Napoleon considered un-PC for CIv3, that is what intrigues me.

Thanks for the lists. By the way, how did you post both lists in the same post? When I am composing a post or editing it only has space for only attached file.

I took screenshots of them and then uploaded both to the civfantics.net server then used the image tag to have them show up in the post.

Here's a [url=http://www.eqforge.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=30888]thread[/url] from the Civ II Democracy Game (which, BTW, everyone is welcome to join) that goes into more detail.

maria theresa does not fit into the role of a female german leader.. but I don't know any german women who could be considered as a leader..
Frederick is also no right .. he was emperor of preussian .. which was only a part of germany.
A.Hitler is the most famous german leader .. although we are not proud of it .. and will never be.

Napoleon would be the most famous french leader .. conquered nearly whole europe . I don't know why they chose Louis the 13.
maybe because he was the sun-king who was without any doubts the most powerful man in france.

English leader would be Churchill .. cause Henry the 8. was just a foolish king , without power and honor.

Wasnt Catherine the Great of Russia born German, then married into the royal Russian family?

There is always Wilhelm, or better yet Bismark...

Doesnt seem to make any difference to the way the AI acts whether the ruler is male or female. Guess they were just trying to be PC...

I always thought that with Frederick is meant one of the medieval Fredericks (Frederick Barbarossa or Frederick II - both pretty famous German Emperors). Considering the outfit of the German herald that seems most realistic to me.

Otto von Bismarck would be a good bid for a German ruler. Although he wasen't tecnically a head of state, he was never the less the power behind the unification of the preussian states into modern Germany

Sacajawea wasn't Sioux, she was Shoshone.
