Hey Everyone,

Looks like Civilization Online is happening

http://www.mmorpg.com/showFeature.c...zation-Online-Its-Real-and-Its-Happening.html

Surprised to have found it.

...And if you like to explore and want to push the limits of what Civ can become right now,
feel free to join the exploration at:

Caveman2Cosmos

(It's built on Civ4, but it's become so so so much more than a MegaMod!)

Let's see how far we can improve Civ, explore history, and the possibilities of the future together!
At the very least it is in our destiny how great the next version turns out!!

Edit...Ok someone beat me to it, but it is worth saying it again!!
Looking forward to anything and everything that makes Civ better.

The graphics are not my style, but I love everything else. It might be a whole new perspective on the Civ series...

I wonder when it shall be released! :crazyeye:

I do hope they won't focus solely on online and will develop single player civ games (either expansion for Civ 5 or just Civ 6) as well in the future.
Edit: Oh, it's by XLGAMES. No panic, then.

Yeah, it's someone else so everything's okay :)

I'm fine with them trying new stuff and the concept sounds interesting. Questions/caveats I have right now: 1) What'll the speed of gameplay be? 2) How many players are in one nation roughly? 3) How big a role plays real-money? We'll see :coffee:

Pass. MMO is a dead genre. There already are hundreds of them and are all dying. Most of all, this is not being developed by Firaxis; only borrowing the Civilization IP.

Especially considering you're posting on a forum dedicated to a game part of a genre that's on life support itself.
