Civilization series - perhaps more governors

I have not played 7 yet. I bought it and started a game but only a few turns of play. I plan to though. I have still been playing 6.

I love the governors we have in 6. They are all very significant for different things. For the franchise, I think it would be fine if there were 12 or 20 governors in a title if you could make them unique and significant and consider making moving around governors quicker but make their impact on the cities significant so that it always stings to remove one.

Governors were a fine mechanic, but Civ6 really dropped the ball on making them racial stereotypes and identical for all players. Hopefully we'll get historical figures as governors if they do make a return.
