I have come across a copy of Civilization that show the version number mentioned in the subject. I could not find any information on it, does anyone know any details about it?

Without more information, I'd say it is a fan-made modification of 475.01, especially seeing the last sentence in the box...

Did you try to compare the files with an original 475.01 ? Especially the TXT and EXE files ?
