CivPlayers Teamer Tournament!!

We will be shortly setting up a signup thread, and a thread with the official settings, and date etc. Plus a thread for the official teams and round 1 seeds when that needs to be done. Come out everyone and grab a partner, and enjoy some exciting team Civing. Signing up for the league is easy and only takes 5min, but if you need any help just jump into our steam chat room and ask away there are lots of experienced MP players that will be glad to help you.

I would really like to be part of it, the only problem for me is time. Right now I got very little gaming time and mabye room for only one or max two games per week and only certin days. I don t know how the games will be organized but if there is a need to be present certain days and times or play the games within a certain time table unfortunatly i can t.

Great! I am really looking forward to participate, and I hope win. We will be a 100% French team as I will play with Fredodo (And I hope we will draw France ingame). Vive la république et Vive la France!
 
I was thinking of a rule for the tournament : for each confrontation, the first team who wins 2 match go further in tournament.

- First leg match : random civs and random skirmish maps (Forest, tundra...)
- Second leg match : teams swap civs and we set the map as it was in the previous game (if it was tundra, we pick tundra again)
- Final match (if no winner) : All pick same civ (to be determined) and new random skirmish map type.

So we can eliminate some more luck, which is better in a direct elimination tournament and we still have various civs and maps.
 
All good points. Likely implemented in the next tournament. However, this one will be straight to the point and simple, 3 wins and your the champions.
 
Yes right now if we ran a "round robin" style tournament I think we would need a lot more time, as the games already have no turn limits. We will look at that for sure, but for this tournament we want to prove the format is viable and work out any problems we run into.

Do we have to sign upp at league????if not maybe a norwegian team will join!!!!or NQ team!!!hehe
 
We would love to have either. We do ask that players register on the league site, which will allow the games to be officially reported into our history banks.

haha..selling my soul is no problem but making a reg on civ league is much harder...then i wish all off you GL and GG...
 
Thats too bad. Perhaps you will reconsider at some point.

PS. I sent some new players to NQ yesterday.

If we both have the time, we should make an NQ team. I guess we'll be crushed, but for fun!!!
