Whats everyone in the class of 2006 planning to do now schools out (or will shortly be out)?

Uni? What to read?
Work?
Gap Year? Anything interesting?

I am planning on going straight to uni to read maths. Nothing too interesting :(

Going to Bentley College in the fall and working my butt off in the summer.

BTW, 06 rocks ice :)

I'm going to the University, to study Philosophy, and later political science. Seems the job oppertunities aren't as bad as they are rumoured to be, and it's what I'm most interested in.

Which university?

God I feel old, hell and I graduated HS in 2003!

Im goin to Bridgewater College in the fall to major in Biology and Environmental Science and minor in history. But, now that school is basically out, I plan to read a whole bunch of awesome books such as Atlas Shrugged (reading it right now), finish reading The Skeptical Environmentalist, and then perhaps The Fountainhead, and i'll have to wait to see what I do next.

I'll be going to an Environmental Science camp in western Maryland for a week, so that should be fun. And I'll be running 5-10 miles everyday (except on vacation and during camps) to get in shape for making the college cross country team. I've been wondering if I would be able to fit in a study abroad semester sometime over in England, probably some Uni in London, but I don't know for sure how that would work.

work in the summer; Loyola University in fall

Couple of people from my school are goin there. I hear its really beautiful.

join a frat?
ha!
i would never join a frat - why would i want to be put through hazing and tortures and humiliations just to have a 50/50 chance of living in a place where all they do is drink themselves crazy every week?
i'm not that desperate to "belong" to an organization or be "popular"

having said that, i re-iterate: "06 IS THE BEST! FORGET ALL THE REST!"

This summer I'll be working about 30 hours a week (bagging groceries...), going to Switzerland for 2 weeks, and otherwise largely vegging at home, I imagine. I'm going to Middlebury College in Vermont after summer vacation.

Only four more days of school left for me!! :D

FYI: Frats are exclusively occupied by people who were complete lameasses in HS and feel an intense need to be a part of something once they are in college so they can reinvent themselves as some sort of cool party animal type. The rest of the world generally just uses them because it is a free house to trash/steal from/commit daterape in.

Actually, you don't go through any "tortures" or "humiliations"--if, indeed, the frat you're joining does that sort of stuff, and many don't anymore--until you've already been chosen. And not all frats drink themselves crazy each week, either, though some certainly do (and I won't name any names :mischief: ).
