Colour inversion freeze

Alright i've had this happen once before and thought it was just random, but i happened 2 times today so i'm looking to see if it's a serious problem.

When I was playing CiV, randomly the game will freeze. Normally i'd just close the game and reopen it, but when I try to alt tab out to close it, It stays on the screen and all the colours on my screen get inverted and everything looks blueish.

I can't go to anything from there except the CTRL-ALT-Del menu, and I can't click to open the task manager.

The only way I know to solve it is to Sign out or Restart on Windows 8

Can somebody help me stop this from happening again?

Are you playing Vanilla, GnK or BNW? First thing, update your video drivers if they are more than a couple of months old. If that doesn't help, please post your DxDiag file. I would send you here for the instructions on how to do so, but I see that you're running Windows 8. Not sure how DxDiag works in that version.

I'm playing BNW, video drivers shouldn't be the problem, I just got my computer 1 month and a half ago.

It's not crashing, should I still do the dxdiag thing?

Yes, please run DxDiag and post the result here. The instructions linked in my prior post might work for Windows 8. The information in the DxDiag report will give us information about your system, including the video drivers. (It would be unusual for a new system to come with the most recent video drivers.)
