So are any of these as fun to watch as quill18? Because I've tried two or three others and they just aren't as charismatic, as knowledgeable or as funny. I like being entertained by the commentary of the player far more than watching someone play the game.
TheMeInTeam has a new playthrough in HD, it's a *lot* better than his first attempt. Playing as Japan on Emperor, Continents, early agression into ICS. Link to playlist HERE
So Im EugeneOfSavoy18, one of the LPers mentioned on the list... it's very flattering to be mentioned on something like this without even knowing. Oh and I'll make sure to add videos to the playlist as soon as they're uploaded
Question: is "let's play" a precise term? Does it refer specifically to videos that are instructional/informative, or specifically to videos that are narrated, or is any recording of a video game considered an LP?
No answer? okayyy...
Well, I'm not sure if the OP is still maintaining this thread, but if he is, and if something can be an LP without actually being helpful with strategy and whatnot, this jerk made an LP with Rome, and it's complete. Not something you want to watch to learn how to play well, but if you just like watching other people play video games while narrating, have at it I guess.
So all you guys making civ5 LPs have inspired me to have a go! Its my first attempt at uploading some vids to youtube so any constructive feed back would be very much appreciated.
Its a random leader game that gave me the Incas, on a small map, using the perfectworld3 mapscript.
I you want to learn more about Lets Playing there is a couple of sites you could visit. There is the Something Awful subforum here that have a bunch of useful guides and A LOT of good LP's. They do however want 10$ for registering. Their archive is free though. Then there is http://www.letsplayforum.com/ wich is a smaller (and cheaper) forum but I don't visit that site so I cant say anything about the quality of their guides or LP's.
