conquering=no culture

when i was playing the spanish on earth 1000ad scenario i conquered bagdad (the one that has the spiral minaret not the blown up one) and i was planning on the wonder figting culture from the north( i razed mecca) and the bagdad wonder wouldn't make culture for me i can deal with the arabs not working because there mad and i could deal but any help would be appreciated

Captured wonders do not produce any culture. Think about it, they're symbols of the conquered culture who built it, not of yours, so they shouldn't give you cultural benefits.

okay but what if you eradicate the civ od viously i can't do that with isabbella agaianst salladin

Still no culture if you wipe them out. Wonders only give culture to the civ that built them.
