Conquest experience/strategies

If I created a thread for each conquest, where people could discuss their favorite strategies and opinions, would people respond to them? Would this be useful? IS something like this posted elsewhere?

I just started them at warlord level. I'm on Rise of Rome.

One question on it while I'm thinking of it.. There is the 'king' unit in each playable civ. They seem to be armies. Do people use these as armies or are they too valuable in these scenarios?

I've already destroyed the Carthage king but it didn't seem to affect them!

By all means use it. Fill it with your best attackers, this army may play a defensive role too - as a guard for a stack of attackers. AI rarely attack armies.

I would not object. And I will respond. The problem is that there are threads already on some of the scenarios. But they are getting old. Wait for a little while and see if some of the moderators turn up with their comments on this.

Right now - all moderators are offline.

Thanks for the advice! Yeah I noticed there were a few threads already, but not really what I was aiming for.. I'll see if a mod says anything as you suggested.

@BrianJ: have you completed all the scenarios? Last weekend I played the Mesopotamia scenario with every civ except for Egypt. Short scenario - 2 hours.

No, only the first 2.. I played as Egypt on teh first one.. Second rome of course.. not finished yet though

@BrianJ: OK! I still say go for it - the threads. No other comments and all mods still offline (probably at work or a completely different zzzzone).
