Conquest score of 5050, is this good?

I just had a conquest victory score of 5050, is this pretty good? This was at Monarch level too. I was surprised because my previous high score was 3160.

The first rule of video game high scores is there are always people on the internet out there who have scores that are absurdly higher than yours

Check the HOF List. Looks like someone got over 37000 points!

My high score on Monarch is around 5000 too. I don't try for "milking" or other strategies to get more points, I just don't have the patience (especially since those turns take so long at the end of the game, even if you aren't doing a lot).

Winning is what determines the success of any Civ game. But 5050 for a Monarch level game is a decent score.

The interesting thing about that list is that 99% of the scores were on a tiny or huge map. I always play on a standard map. I really don't care that much about score when I play, it's more about getting the tech lead, building infrastructure, and conquering the other civs.
But it was fun seeing the sledgehammer guy ring me up to "The Magnificent".

I rarely look at mine, since I know it'll be nothing compared to what some guys and gals can get.

Some people know this game down to the mathematical formulas!

And that is why I try not to post my high scores here. I sometimes feel insignificant compated to those uber scores.
