Having just been on a crash course in the relevant parts of the CoL (courtesy of Donsig), I find that this poll is also unnecessary, and ought to be disregarded and closed.

It is unnecesary. Deputies need to used in standard Yes/No/Abstain citizen polls, with the requirement of the infamous quorum.
