First, awesome mod. Takes me back to Master of Magic, and you can't get higher praise than that.

1. Is there a way to create new mana sources? (Not building a node, but the mana itself.) I could swear I saw a spell or ability that lets you make a new raw source, but I can't find it now.

2. After you raze a mana node, is the mana supposed to retain its type? Eg after I raze a death node, the only option I get is to rebuild it. I can't build any other type of node: air, enchantment, fire, what-have-you.

Thanks!

1)
The ritual "rithes of oghma"

2)
Yes, the only way to get it back to raw mana is change of ownership of the tile.

1. There are buildings that provide mana resources (e.g., all the holy shrines, tower of necromancy), and there is a ritual that creates new raw mana all over the world (rights of Ogama), but I don't think there is a spell that creates mana. One spell (resurrection) destroys a life mana resource (or is it only the node?)

2.It is supposed to retain its type so that a player won't exploit one node to let all its arcane units learn all spells. It reverts back to raw mana when a civ's boarders recede or expand over it (I forget which one. also, the nodes are destroyed), so other players aren't penalized for a poor mana choice made by someone else. In the BtS beta, I often find it useful to build a fort on a mana resource right after finishing a node, destroying the node but still giving you the mana, plus a better ability to defend it.

I seem to remember that killing the Horsemen causes a mana node to pop where they fell (at least some of them some of the time, anyway)

Killing 1 of the 4 horseman creates a mana resource (not node) of different type depending on which one, but I forget which one creates which. Also, it doesn't work if they were already on a resource (and possibly if already on an improvement). I don't think this is in the BtS beta yet, but I don't know for sure.

Yes, if you kill the first one, Stephanos, you get a Spirit node. However, I happened to kill him once on a different node that already had Water, I think it was. It destroyed that and gave me a Spirit node.

As mentioned I think the other horsemen (some anyway) also yield nodes when they get killed.
