i have a two part question.
1)not very important. i was installing civ3 and it gave me a CRC error on one file. i completed the installation anyway but uninstalled and deleted the folder. i reinstalled and got CRC erros on two other files. i have a sneaking suspicion there is a data transfer problem somewhere in this computer and would love to know how to begin to test and resolve this.
2)i had a back-up of the original working civ game somewhere so i just deleted the newly created folder (after applying the patch and all) and copied the back-up directory over. now when i start the game the fonts are messed up. text is running into each other and it's not the light font i used to have before.
i really want the fonts back the way they used to be.
edit: oops...nevermind. i resolved both issues. i do have a data transfer problem which i will deal with later.
