Unless you're using the Palace as a dropoff point then Camelot is worthless unless you can keep it cheap for the 1 fame point it brings. But mostly, it's a waste of coins from what I've seen bids go up to on it.

Very usefull.
Because now in game matters only science, Palace upgrade is crytical before Univercity or at least Ginormous Village Green.

I think it takes too many GP that would be better spent in other ways. I usually focus on food and production until University, and then go all out on science once my population is 12 or so.
