Crash before main menu

[The Sword 88]

I just got this off steam and when I first tried to play it I got the missing msvcp71.dll file error so I downloaded the dll as described in another post here and now the game starts and then shows the opening videos then once the splash screen pops up it crashes.

GTX 285
8 gb ram
Windows 7 x64
