Hey, folks. I'll get right down to the issue here.
I've been playing Civ 4 for a while now- used to have it on disc, but right now I only have it on Steam. I got the whole pack, and have been playing BTS. Both Vanilla and the Destiny mod have been working fine for the past few days. So! The issue.
I installed the Multiverse mod, and when I tried to run it I got a whole slough of Python errors related to the maps which I'm told were pretty well irrelevant. However, trying to start a new map- any map- resulted in a generic Windows crash.
I figured I'd just done the installation wrong and dropped back to Vanilla BTS, but now I'm having the same problem there- any time I try to start a new game, I hit go and the screen either flashes the loading screen and goes black, or just goes straight to black, and then I get a generic crash.
I've done a fresh reinstall, restarted my computer and Steam, and it's still happening. So, basically, I'm trying to find out how to fix it! Anyone have this kind of issue before? Anyone know how I might fix it?
Edit; I should mention of course, I'm running Windows XP SP3, got 3 gigs of ram, and have had no trouble with the game in the past.
