I read through a bunch of the the bug reports but I'll admit I didn't go through all 26 pages. However, after reading a bunch I uninstalled everything, including using ccleaner and then going through the registries and removing anything that had "civ" in it and looked related to Civilizations. I then re-installed vanilla (default directories since I heard there were installer issues with fixed path), downloaded and installed the 1.74 patch (again default) and then installed BTS. No BTS patches. I was under the impression that BTS included everything for warlords so I wouldn't need that. Machine info:
Windows XP version 5.1.2500 (SP3), AMD Semperon Mobiles 3500+ (GO AMD)
video - NVIDIA (the enemy) GeForce Go 6150, driver date 4/26/06. Gig memory.
I just noticed doing this there is a driver from 8/06 which I'll try, but assume that didn't help (if it does I'll repost).
It goes through initializing engine. I turned on logging and don't see anything odd. If anyone is helping let me know which logs/parts of logs you would like to see. Thanks in advance to anyone that helps, I really liked CIV4 vanilla, and was hoping to expand on the time I could play it and keep it interesting.
