Been playing a Hot-Seat game in BTS and it has gotten to the point where it CTD's after I finish my turn. I can think of no reason why, but as soon as I end my turn, it gives me the Program has stopped responding error.
This is the text from the Event Viewer:

Faulting application name: Civ4BeyondSword.exe, version: 3.1.9.0, time stamp: 0x4a0c27e6
Faulting module name: CvGameCoreDLL.dll, version: 3.1.7.0, time stamp: 0x4a0c246c

Any ideas? It would crash intermittently throughout the game. Currently in about 460AD (Started in 4000 BC at epic speed) and has crashed about 7-8 times through the course of the game. Now I cant finish a turn at all without a crash.

Anyone? Do you guys need more information?

I posted a file containing all my logs. Is there anything else needed?

Welcome to CFC :band:

there are no obvious errors in the logs
you might want to check whether there are newer graphics drivers out there, but I doubt it.
Is the game installed with admin rights?
It is *possible* that this is a steam issue, so you might want to contact them as well.

Yup there is admin rights, I'm on Windows 7 64 Bit and I took ownership of every file relating to Civ. I've tried contacting steam but thats gone nowhere. I'll check for graphics drivers.
One more note, reading through the logs I consistently noticed a mention of failing to load an espionage xml. When I check "No Espionage" in the hot-seat setup the crashes are virtually eliminated. The only unfortunate thing is I kind of wanted to play with Espionage on. Thanks for the reply and the welcome though :D

Well good news. I found the cause of the problem (I believe)
Basically, when playing before when it would crash it was always during a strech where all players involved had no moves to make, so we were skipping turns. During this skipping we were rapidly pressing enter.

I have since started clicking the end turn button and letting everything load first. This has resulted in no crashes whatsoever even with Espionage on.

Guess the problem was impatience :P

I'm experiencing this same problem: occasional EOT crashes in hotseat (Win7 32 bit, steam, more details on request), and I figured out the exact situation that causes it.

- You must be playing hotseat
- You must have checked the options "No unit cycling". "Wait at end of turn" might increase the incidence too, I'm not sure.
- Have a worker due to complete an improvement on a given turn
- Have another unit requiring orders that turn
- Give the other unit its order, then press enter to cycle to the worker, who (with no input from you) completes his task
- Have this be the last thing you do this turn (you must not be choosing research or city builds after this). Hit enter.
CRASH!

How to avoid this? I'm fairly sure that turning on unit cycling fixes it, though it's hard to prove a negative. I also believe that using the "w" key to cycle between units, instead of enter, circumvents the problem. (It seems to be the second-to-last enter, the one that cycles past the worker, that causes the crash. Ending turn with enter vs pressing the button makes no difference for me.)
