would someone help me out with this one, i cant find an answer...
Is it possible to create a building (from scratch, not replacing an existing one) and make a respective aerial city view for it? I had the idea of getting some good views for the C3C buildings that dont have it after i found out firaxis didnt make any for them, just to spice up my gaming experience a lil. I found this old topic that had a discussion on it, unfortunately for me that discussion went kinda dead
and since the posting guidelines said to post questions here and not on those forums... here i am...
Ok so i kept searching for more topics (and used google as well which didnt help that much either) and the best i could find were these couple of topics (for example this one) that mentioned something about aerial and palace views being disabled in C3C... which i didnt quite understand because i can still view and build my palace in C3C, even if need to click F9 when it (rarely) forgets to warn me that my people want to build me a palace... so could someone explain me what does aerial and palace views being disabled on C3C actually means?
Also, would making a folder under conquests\art named "city views" (like there is on the ptw and civ folders) and put there the .pcx files created by me work? of course, naming those files correctly and following the model of vanilla civ like "WON-[nameofbuild]-G.pcx"
EDIT: I just remembered that this leads to another question that also interests me, when making a mod, would making an "art\city view" under the mod's folder with each correspondant .pcx for each custom building be enough to the aerial views to work properly?
I would appreciate if someone could help me out with this, thanks in advance.
