I am an "old" player from way back to Civ I. I thought Civ II was great, and I killed countless hours with it. I actually thought Civ III improved the series in numerous ways. I have not purchased Civ IV yet because I am worried about bugs, and honestly I don't like how it looks graphically. I will probably buy it in the future anyhow. If it were not for the graphics, I would rush out and buy this one too.
But just out of curiousity, why do so many people think Civ III was so horrible? I really liked it. I think the Conquests patch ruined the whole game, but other than that I thought it was great. Can I hear some input as to why Civ II and now Civ IV are so much better?
