CTD on winning (videos)

I think I saw this mentioned somewhere, but now that I need it I can't find it - sorry if this thread is redundant!

On winning a game (Emperor, Domination) I receive a popup error message:

"Your videos are not installed properly"

and then the game exits to desktop.

This was late last evening, so I didn't have time to look for the appropriate files and try to fix it - anyone else have this problem and can tell me what I have to fix?

Apart from the well-known lag problems on large maps and some pre-patch problems my game has been running fine up till now.

BTW, this is post-patch and I've had no other problems since the patch.

Can't anyone help me out on this one? I'm sure I saw something about this a while ago, but I can't for the life of me find it on the forum... and search is disabled

Right now, the only sure fix I know seems to be to disable all game videos...

Obviously you have a problem with the videos nah jk why don't you try to search through your civ4 directory for a folder named videos or vids or movies and recopy them from your dvd/cd in there, alternatively reinstall the game.

oh yea and if the search feature in the forum doesn't wort, try going to google and limiting your search to the domain forums.civfanatics.com or just civfanatics.com, should give you what you are looking for.

I don't want to reinstall the game, since everything else works perfectly - reading about all the problems others are having doesn't impart confidence in a reinstall..

I'll try finding this on the forum then... otherwise I'll just have to try fixing this on my own..
