how is the score determined for a cultural win? my save game got corrupted somehow. i cant resume my game. i was very close to cultural victory. 98,000 culture points and over half of the culture in game.

i can never get the game back so i was just wondering if anyone can help estimate what my score would have been. i had 25000 points on the histograph and with only a few turns left i dobt it would have changed much.

There is a program in the utilities forum, that you can download that let's you figure out a projected score. You just need to know the year, what your score was the turn before, and current score. You don't get bonuses for different types of victories, just what year you win. Are you sure it was 25,000!, or was it 2500?

woops yes, i meant 2500, too many zeros on there, so, is the bonus the same as it is for conquering. there year is around 1850 if thats what you need to know.

At 1850 A.D. you get an early win bonus of 198 points on Chieftain, 594 on Regent, 1188 on Deity. Conquest normally would give you a higher score, because you are acquiring more territory (primary part of the base score before time bonus). Otherwise score would be pretty much the same if you ended at the same year.
