I've got an image that is 4KB but it is too large (larger than 65x65 pixels) to use. I do not know how to make it smaller using preview on OS X. Can anyone help me?
I've got photoshop. I'll check it out, but do you know how w/ photoshop?
Edit: I actually have photodeluxe 2.0, and I couldn't figure anything out in it. As you can see to the left, I went and found a smaller image on the internet. Hmm, I don't know if I like it...that small.
In Photodeluxe you can 'Get Photo' if your image is compatible--I think most are. Then you can modify it by re-sizing in one of the options along the top of the screen (sorry I'm not more specific--I'd have to load Classic to go back and check). Once you have re-sized by say, 50%, you can then export the file as a .gif or .jpeg whatever is needed for your avatar.
Here ya go, dojoboy - did it in GraphicConverter. If this is inadequate, a more comprehensive program might do better, but I thought I'd give it a shot anyway.
...ok, not be outdone, I took Beamup's resized .gif and made it transparent outside the sphere -- you lose the drop shadow etc, so maybe it's not what you want, dojoboy, but there you go.
Let's see if I can do it successfully on the first try...
Great. Thanks guys. Now lets see if I can't muck it up from here.
Edit: Its up and much better than what I had done. Thanks fellas. I've got graphic converter also, but "export" isn't bold where I can access it. Am I missing a step. I exported ya'lls in OS X through preview. Any way, thanks!
