Custom civ names in CIV Dos

Hello all!

Can't wait to get active playing civ1 again, I was in Nunavut for a month, of all places!

Now, I want to write about a peculiar thing I observed in my version of Civ dos.

I noticed that on the score pannel, One of the games played by some guy or gal before me has a custom name instead of the usual civilization names (Zulu, mongol, etc...). I always thought that the only terminology you could chose is your name as a leader and the city names. How did they do that ? do you have to tamper with the code of the game to do that ?

No, in amiga civilization you had to press some key when the civilization selection screen comes up. But can't remember which key.

You just have to press the escape-button, but you cant choose which civ you want the PC chooses one per random, you can just rename it.

Thank you for this. Actually, this was the only thing I liked in the windows versions of civ1 that I could not have in the Dos version. Now, Civ1-Dos is really all I need! Looks like the Acadien civilization is back!
