hello.
can anyone help me? im just trying to set up a custom civ. im ok with changing the names of cities for a certain civ, but how can i change the name of the actual civ you select, i.e. in the pop up window with the 21 civs in their 3 alternates for the 7 different colours. Is this possible? If so, i guess from there you can change the leaders.txt file to select your type, eg prime minister etc. thanks if anyone can help me

EDIT: of course i dont just mean using the custom tribe option in the pop-up menu, i mean manually changing it for good.

Guttermouth -

Just go to the Civ II Downloads section on this website and download (from the utilities area) the Tribe Editor. If you just change the names of your tribes in the Civ .txt files you'll get errors when playing. The Tribe Editor was meant for making scenarios, but it works fine for just customizing the tribes in your game permanently.

It also allows you to change the city names, the leaders' names, your Civ's architecture style and the level of civilization or aggression.
