Custom Shields

I have noticed that in some of the Scenarios, some units have a pattern on their shield. How do you do that?

Check out the Icons.gif in your scenario folder,

If you use paint shop pro 5 or similar you can edit the icons
like trade, shields and wheat to what ever you wish...

this is some custom city resource icons I made for a scenario...

You need to draw the pattern on the unit itself, and place the shield behind the pattern (with the blue dots), so just the health bar is visible (since the shield will always be behind the unit).

Actually, I have Civ II Classic...I just read the review, I didn't play the game. Sorry. (I want to.)

Also, what if I want a certain pattern on my units only?

a) Open the units.gif
b) The blue spots on the green lines that surround each unit's slot mark the shield's upper left corner position.
c) Draw a shield, then place it right here where lines from these two spots collide. Models are on the right of units.gif, if you need for size help.
d) If you want to see life points, remember to place it five pixels below.

Important!!!!!! place the drwed shield before placing the unit, or you'll cover unit itself!!!!!!!!
