I would like to invite all members of this forum to play online nation/politicial simulation game called Cyber Nations. Cyber Nations is a well established game, over 1 year old since it was established in January of 2006, that allows you to build an empire, join an alliance, participate in politics, and much more. I myself have been playing since late May 2006, and have found myself very attached to the game. As of latreOctober 2006, I built my own alliances along with friends called The Byzantine Empire. We are smaller compared to alliances like the New Pacific Order, which is the strongest alliances in the game. However amist a game filled with much intrigue and alliances wars, The Byzantine Empire (acroymn: BE) has been labeled as the most honorable alliances in the game due to our stauch defense of one of our allies.
Moving on, I invite you to sign up on www.cybernations.net which I think is one of the greatest FREE online games if you are interested in politics and nation building.
I posted this, thinking that is would be very interesting to bring together Civ fanatics at my alliance, and build an alliances that matched no other. Many sites already have migrated in the game to build strong alliances, and with the membership base here, I think we would do that too. It would be a great site to see, a new power in the Cyber Nations world that is controled by your hand. It sounds great doesn't it?
To sign up, follow the link, and register an account. Once you receive your activation code, you can create your nation, and begin building an empire. If you need any assistance in the registry process, I would gladly help you.
Now the next step, to join an alliance. Like stated before, I invite you to join The Byzantine Empire alliance. After you start your nation, go to these forums: www.z11.invisionfree.com/Byzantine_Empire. This is my alliance. We are effectively a constitutional monarchy that is somewhat Byzantine themed, yet meant to poke fun somewhat (the alliance I was previously with for six months was a Roman themed alliance called The Legion. Good people, bad government). We hold bi-monthly elections for three positions, with one coming up in July. They are the Megas Primus (Prime Minister), the Megas Domesticus (Domestic Minister), and the Megas Kataphractoi (Defense Minister).
What next? We become major players in the Cyber Nations community. We will grow, form alliances with other alliances, and become a major player. The best of all, we will all have fun. The Cyber Nations community is very tight knit, and we all get along very well. In a game ov 30,000+ players, this is one of the greatest simulations to date.
