data2 problem on P4

I used to play CIII and its expansion packs on my P3. Today I tried to install my old disc on a couple P4s. Kept getting a data2.cab problem. What is this and what can I do about it?

Your CD's are damaged or dirty and the installer can't continue because it can't properly locate the information on the CD. Try cleaning the CD's first, wipe them with a clean dry soft cloth, from the inside to the outer ring. If that doesn't work, them most likely the disks are worn out and won't work. Fortunately, Civ3 isn't too expensive now, you can get a copy of Complete for $10-$20 online.
