Deity games

I've improved a lot and am able! to win most games on immortal, however Deity is just on another level and have yet to win a game. I think I'm very efficient and watched many YouTube videos but still can't seem to win.
Could any Deity players post some tips/advice on things they started to do to be able to start winning on Deity?

Playing a shadow game or playing along with NC games might help, to compare yourself to the Deity players. Beyond that what, exactly, causes you to lose on Deity? What area do you need to improve in?
