Delete Audio Files?

I am hurting for storage space on my laptop, and wanted to know if I can remove all of the audio files from my civIV assets folders? I never play with the sound on anyway - so I don't really need them - but I assume that it might cause problems for my systems. Anyone know if I can just remove them?

What you can do is to copy the audio files into a new folder as a backup and then delete the audio files in the assests folder and then try the game, if it fails then you can just copy the backups back to the original folder.

I have never tried this so I am only guessing.
