Demon capturing

illusions and puppets actually do have an effect, they make the summoned unit not demon, undead or angel, so a illusion Wraith would be better against an angel than a undead wraith, since it removes it's wakness to holy damage and any demon slaying bonus the angel might have.

Keep in mind though that angels are not living, and to Illusions cannot attack them. I forget whether they could still defend. Anyway, they would still be stronger vs. Paladins and units with the blessed promotion.

Interesting. Rare and situational, but interesting. Very well, point taken. Puppets and Illusions have effects.

I really think demon capturing is a bad idea. It would be better to summon. Also it would weaken demon summons if you implemented the idea as people could steal your summoned units.

Demon slaying and order are enough for anti-demon abilities.

I really like a lot of those strategy games like Dominions and Conquest of Elysium where you could summon demons. I think it could be done even better with the Civ4 engine.. you could sacrifice a portion of your population to get a demon. The bigger the city, the stronger the demon. There could also be like a 10% change it'll break the bondage upon being summoned and run amok on the city.

I'd also agree that anti-demon is enough to hold them back. I've got plenty of demon slayers doing nothing after I finish off the Infernals.

The only drawback I see to it is that FFH is already a bit overloaded with demons, what with a civilization dedicated solely to demons and the world slowly turning into hell terrain. Hyborem would be laughing at the puny (arch)mages sacrificing their villages for imps :p
