One of the main strengths of the Order religion is the demon slaying ability of most of their UUs. However, I just played an entire game and didn't see one unit with demon. Exactly how many units are demons, and how useful is this ability?

All Infernal units are Demons. Also, two of the three AV heroes are demons, Mardero and Meshabber. Stygian Guards and Eidolons too. Finally, some Sheaim units from the planar gate are demons: Chaos Marauders, Tar Demons, and Succubi.

Basically, Demons come from the Sheaim and the Ashen Veil.

Personally, I think the biggest strengths of the Order are Social Order and Unyielding Order. 5 cities with no maintenance or unhappiness (4 Priors + Sphener), basically infinite happiness in all other cities (spam scouts or something), and very low maintenance allow you to run an amazing economy.

Not all Infernal units are demons. Demon is there default race, but any unit with a race alread won't get it. Death Nights start with undead. Word Units never get a default race.

Dont forget prior flesh golems for infinite order

Stygian Guards are from Octopus Overlords though, and they have Saverous, who also starts with demon.

Most demon units come from the Sheaim, Ashen Veil, and the Infernals.

There are a few non-religion/civ specific demon units, Ediolons can be built by any evil civ and the pit beast (Chaos II summon) starts with demon. There's also the four horsemen of the apocalypse.
