Denounce Reason not accurate

I declared war on Persia, AI, at one point and occupied one of their cities. I then lost loyalty and it because a free city. I then recaptured the city and razed it instead of keeping it. Persia then continued to denounce me with the reason of 'Occupying their city' when that city didn't exist anymore. I just expected them to denounce me due to causing them grievances. This happened multiple times after I razed the city before the I finished the game.

My game is fully up-to-date with all DLC. I can't seem to find the version number.
