:P
Gave myself a promotion to Diety ranking.
<----------see?
I figured... Hey, I play Diety level so why should my rank be Chieftan.
I played one of the GOTMs that wasn't diety and it was like another game. I built SunTzus as my only city improvement, then cranked out knights, pikemen, and a few catapults in all my cities and won it. Oh yea I built some roads too.

I like to play that way on deity on occasion! By the way I also promoted myself to deity today :).

Veteran knights are good enough to take over the world early in the game. The only distraction is if someone would build the great wall but you always get a warning so to speak when someone starts building it so you can go there and take that city first.

Would you mind some Seattle Rain on your Deity Parade? :D Kidding.

Actually, I'm not real sure what this thread is about, so I think Vet Knights are a good thing early in the game. The current GOTM that I'm about halfway through with (Emperor) turned out to be done with mostly Chariots, and I'm not normally an early-conqueror in GOTMs, esp with Chariots.

I think I'll keep my Chieftan qualifier for a while longer. When I decide to promote myself, I'll want the feeling of achievement that comes with it. :D

I have custome ranking, but it doesn't say anything about your skill as a player, just the number of posts count for your ranking. I've posted quite a bit to get a ranking like this but I've been around longer as well. :)

You can change your title to anything you like. It is, of course, not restricted to difficulty levels and now with the PC visible, people can see you are not of deity posting status. I like being an evil despot myself.

HeHe, sorry civ1-addict, I know it must sting that you've been around so much longer, yet I have a higher ranking. Life isn't fair just suck it up bro :P

LOL, IMHO, postcounts should not even be placed next to every post (but leave counts in profiles just for fun). And yup, I've made my own input on the subject to TF's Site Feedback Forum. Facts are that some great posts come from low count posters, and conversely a high post count does not equal a great post (or poster) either. People should just say what they have to say with no regard to that silly number, and hopefully no one actually "looks down" low count members. Just my 2 cents...

I agree that PC shouldn't be visible but it is so we must deal accordingly. It does have some advantages to the more veteran users.
