Conquest is when you eliminate all AI players.
Domination is when you control 67% of the available land and coast area of the map AND 67% of the wortds population...
It would seem to me that you would get a domination victory long before a conquest victory. How do these players get conquest victories if both objectives are enabled?

A little more expansively, conquest wins involve razing some of the captured cities, and usually avoiding the building of culture-enhancing structures like temples in the cities that are kept.
In the past, I've sometimes won by conquest while trying to win by domination.
I disagree! Your border can expand over sea tiles, but these don't count towards the domination limit. Only lands tiles and coast tiles count. Just check SirPlebs "Maximizing your score" article....
