Ill just give you the whole story.
A few years ago a borrowed Civ3 from the library and thought that was a cool game. Now with conquests released i wanted to have that, and bought it. However something happened. Some files are missing from vanilla civ3(and don't ask me how because i don't know). When i start the game it says "error file not found" well i guess you all know the error. Well anyways, it is always a sound file that is missing, so i play without sound. However, whenever i enter the diplomacy screen it gives me the error file not found message again, and this time it is the diplomusic. Apparently it doesen't turn off? So i have standed in line to borrow it again so i can reinstall, but the line is actually very long, so i wish to know how one can turn of the diplomusic so i can play without sound in the wait time. I have tried deleting sound.dll (but have made a backup) but that doesen't work. Any help?
