Disabling Foreign Adviser pop-ups

I imagine that there are several ways to do that, depending on which pop up occurring where you wish to eliminate.

The ones that say things like:

X and Y have signed a military alliance against Z

X declared war on Y

X and Y have signed a peace treaty

Eric, at least for the beginning of the Age of Discovery (World Map) scenario, you can reduce the pop-ups as follows:

Go to the Editor, and then to the Player Properties menu. When you look at the Player properties, you will see that the "start with embassies" box is checked. The pop-ups are the reports of your ambassadors to your foreign affairs advisor. If you uncheck the box for all of the players, the pop-ups will cease, at least at the beginning of the game.

As the game progresses, you will begin to get more and more pop-ups as more embassies are established. I am not sure if you can block those, except for making it impossible to build embassies.

Sorry for reviving such an old thread, but is this something that can be done. Playing mods with lengthy turn processing means that you are glued to the screen to click through these pop-ups like a bot !

Every diplomatic action that can be disabled cuts down the number of pop up messages. Per example in CCM I cut out diplomatic alliances, trade boycotts, map- and communication trading and this of course reduces the number of pop up messages significantly without having a big impact in the fun of the game.

Many thanks. So there is no way of removing these pop-ups which are holding back the turns resolution? Have a great weekend Civinator
