Discovering "Future Tech" skips prompt to research real tech

When discovering Future Tech 1, the game will automatically roll over and start research on Future Tech 2, even if I have undiscovered "Real" technologies yet to discover.

I encountered this scenario because I was delaying researching fiber optics, so that the Kremlin would continue to have an effect. While Fiber Optics was yet to be discovered, my research target automatically rolled from Future Tech 1 to Future Tech 2, without providing the pop-up to choose a research target.

I usually research everything else before Future tech and not bother with them, because I drop my research meter to 0% and increase the culture meter to 100%.

However, you can still change the Tech you are researching by clicking the bar at the top telling you how many turns are left to research the current tech.
