Has anyone tried to execute the air interception (combat) code directly? Specifically I want interception to occur when a unit is moved directly into an enemy AA zone.

I'm thinking of a possible hack involving a temporary and invisible (scaled down ?) aircraft unit triggering the interception, but I don't know if it's worth it...
Nope. I've managed to get it so Paratroopers take damage from hostile AA in the drop-zone, can attack after landing provided they wern't at the maximum air-drop range, and also they can airlift from any hex if they are adjacent to a helicopter that hasn't moved yet (the air-drop then uses up the helios move) - expand the first spoiler here http://forums.civfanatics.com/showpost.php?p=12334513&postcount=22
All are options so you can switch them on/off individually (so attack after landing with no AA damage and no helio lift is a possible combination)
