I was wondering does the AI only see your military if you have open borders..

Or does it know how many soldiers you have without seeing it...

I allways reed and hear in walktroughs that giving open borders to the AI is sometimes bad because they can see you are weak..

I sometimes see a culture game just with one warrior of military(on higher difficulties) thats all whats the secret rejecting open borders?

Bottom line: Can you prevent an atack from a AI by rejecting open borders so they can see you are weak ? Or do they allready know?

How can you prevent a AI from declaring war on you because i saw some savefiles with just one warrior one city culture win

On lower difficulties you can get to a point where your city strength can deter the AI from DOW (and on settler it just won't ever DOW you if I'm not mistaken)

On higher difficulties it's mostly about the start. If you are secluded and far away from the more aggressive Civs and have things like City states bordering you, you could get a game where the AI doesn't feel like Dowing you. I'm not a huge HOF buff so I just find that kind of game boring, but that's just about the only way.

I don't know if they see your strength if you have open borders, but I have had games where I can swear they only decided to attack me after they pathed an army through my land to attack someone else.

I honestly don't know, other day when I screwed up and got ambushed heavily by barbs, six units gone in a flash with a lone warrior survivor.

Bam, war declared on me from usa and aztecs.

They somehow knew what happened to my military. Silly ai. I can rebuild fast warriors cheap to churn out enmass.

So after getting six warriors again and a couple of new archers, aztecs ragequit after losing a single jag to an supposedly weak nation.

USA however stuck on me like a lonely man in urgent need for company.

Repeatedly ganked his swordmen with nothing but warriors. Terrain is hostile to archers.

He only gave up by renaissance after losing silly amount of swordmen and longswordmen to uh, cavemen. :P

I think they can always tell what your "Soldiers" value is in the demographics screen. They don't know where your units are if they can't see them, though.

I don't know for sure, but I guess that they use the same military advisor screen we have access to (which seems to be accurate). If you watch that screen, the AI seems to behave off that info.

Only you can see who is the best or who is the worst and your rank not in wich rank you are(of course if you are lowest maybe)

Well, I guess it's a combination of that and the military advisor. It's pretty easy for you to find out if you can prey on someone you've never visited, too
