DVD-ROM Installation Problem

Getting a strange message when trying to install CIV 4 on my PC:

2.4 GHz
1 GB RAM
64 MB Geforce 4
Windows XP Home sp 2

The first error is:

>SetupDLL\SetupDLL.c[[ (390)
PAPP:Sid Meier's Civilization 4

The second error is:
Please do the following:
Close any running programs
Empty your temporary folder
Check your internet connection

I have cleared my temporary folder, closed down all running programs and even tried to run the install with and without the internet connection.

I am now at the point where I will soon have no hair left

If it is an issue with the DVD-ROM drive then I can go change the disk to the CD Version (hopefully we can get that version in the UK) but I successfully installed software from this drive without any issues before.

Any help/suggestions would be very much appriciated.

Ok, did some digging into the hardware and found that my Samsung DVD-ROM was set to PIO Mode in the IDE ATA/ATAPO controllers setting for the PC.

I changed it to Ultra DMA 1 and this means I now get further in the installation

Hurrah

But after the choice of language message I now get the following message:



Could this be related to the type of transfer mode I have selected?
